Daljit 'Singh' Nirmala, who serves as a President at Baba Sang Gurdwara in Smethwick (Birmingham, UK) has been exposed with having close ties with right wing Hindu terror group Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and engaging in anti-Sikh activities in clear violation of the Sikh Rahit Maryada.
Daljit Nirmala presents the show ‘Santwaad’ on the Sikh Channel in UK. Last year he made comments against jhajharoo Singhs on another show aired on Sikh Channel. Along with other UK Sanatanists, Daljit Nirmala continues to mislead the UK youth by inter-mixing Hindu rituals and philosophies with Sikh practices.

The Sikh Rahit Maryada strictly forbids the Hindu ritual of performing arti and havan. Chapter 4, Article V states:

The shocking film footage also shows Daljit Nirmala bowing down before Sadhvi Ritambhara and honoring her. According to ‘Right-Wing Women: from conservatives to extremists around the world’ (2002), Sadhvi Ritambhara is a trainee and member of the Hindu extremist terror group RSS.
In Tim McGirk’s book ‘Hindu Zealots find an avenging angel’ (1993), Ritambhara is described as being known for inflammatory anti-Muslim speeches that are aimed to incite violence. The High Court in India have been held accused in the Babri Masjid demolition case. In April 1995, Ritambhara was arrested for making a public speech in which she attacked Christians and described Mother Teresa as a “magician”. Her inflammatory speech led to Hindu led violence against Christians which resulted in 169 people being arrested for arson.
Here is a summary of her militant activities:
• Founding chairperson of Durga Vahini, a militant Hindu women’s organization that provides weapons training. Its members have been responsible for numerous acts of violence including the ransacking of the Orissa state assembly and the anti-minority pogroms in Gujarat in 2002 which killed over 2,000 people.
• Ritambhara’s student and protégé Sadhvi Pragya Singh has been arrested for masterminding the Malegaon Blasts of September 8, 2006 in which 37 people were killed and over 125 injured.
Daljit Nirmala has also been captured in this film part-taking in Hindu Puja and Arti of Swami Parmanand in clear violation of Sikh Rehat Maryada and ideology. In another video Daljit Nirmala is wearing no Dastar, his hair is open covering with a scarf whilst he partakes in a Havan (sacrificial fire ritual) with his wife and family that is led by Hindu Pandit, again in clear violation of Sikh values and teachings.
Daljit Nirmala has been linked to Snatanists in UK whom have been actively expanding operations and and propagating anti-Sikh ideology, with primary base of operations from from Gurdwara Baba Sangh in Smethwick (Birmingham). Anti-Sikh practices have been performed during the Sri Dasam Granth Sahib programmes organised by the Snatanists. The Hindu ritual of Arti of lighting lamps and waving them around were acted out.
Sikh Channel in UK has numerous times been caught out allowing shady and dangerous characters such as Daljit contribute to the content of their programming. Although Sikh Channel UK claims to support Akal Takhat Sahib, yet another incident where anti-Sikh individuals like this are contributing to programming suggests a clear lack of editorial competence or is something more sinister at work in the background?
Sikh Channel UK has been constantly requesting and pushing for more funds from community through monthly banking Direct Debits from viewers and in its quest to increase revenue by appearing to appeal to all possible “groups and sects” in wider community? What if any link exists between income and anti-Sikh groups/individuals attempting to get a platform on TV?
Sikh Channel in UK must clearly issue a statement of its commitment to Gurmat asools as per Sikh Rehat Maryada and divulge what editorial procedures/vetting they intend to put in place to prevent future occurrences.
This is a disgrace, how dare SCUK bring on people like this to present programs.
Something tells me the are running this really 'desi' style and dont have a clue how to run a professional operation. I mean don't you check a presenters credentials before you allow them on TV or get them to sign some contract of ethics?

Sikh channel just seems a money making product! If every one knew who the owners are, they will be shocked!!!! Dont give them a penny! stop thier direct debts, Sikh channel will do anything 4 money, its all about how much u can offer, ther are many anti-marayada programmes already been shown 4 the sake of money.

Sikh Channel, Sangat TV and Sikh TV need to sort themselves out. I have seen anti-Gurmat individuals on all three channels!
On Sikh Channel there's been this Daljit guy and in the past they've had UK Snaatanist Nihungs come on shows.
On Sangat TV Davinder Panesar has a weekly slot where he spews utter nonsense and distorts Mool Muntar and Ik Onkar. He doesn't believe in God and claims his co-host Nihung Singh said that "we are God, so we don't know to worship or pray to God."
On Sikh TV you've got Kala Afghana propagators like Tiger Jatha and 'Veer' Bhupinder Singh being promoted. They even advertised rapist Saadh Maan Singh Pehevo's programmes in UK.
This should never happen. U either buck up ur ideas or I withdraw my monthly fee.

We should not blame Sikh Channel at all. hopefully they will learn from there mistake and they will take more attention next time when looking for presenters.
It is very harsh to generalise that anti-Panthic activities are steming from the Sikh Channel since they have last week in one show been exposing Akali Dal Badal when one of their speakers actively spoke in a RSS convention that Sikhs are Hindus and the Sikh Channel refuted this using bani from Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and Bhai Gurdas varans that shows that Sikhs are an independent religion to Hindus. So to suggest that Sikh Channel are anti-Sikh is absurd.
I am not linked to the Sikh Channel as such but what I do believe is that it is good that we are identifying deficienices in the Sikh Channel and we should work together to correct them but let us not forget the 99% good that the Sikh Channel does for the community.
This must stop, it is dangerous for Sikhi. This was always a risk and even more because we have just entered into this new Sikh media. I am also glad that this has come out because the more time these people are in the more damage they will do to us.
They are cancer and the only way we can win over then is regular screening of people or elements we are showing on our media. We have to be more vigilant more involved in the media cause it is funded by sangat and sangat has full right over it. Gurdwaras should unite and form some sort of regulatory body to regulate them.

What good has Sikh Channel done for us? They are promoting sant/baba waad! Nearly every CD they play is of some sant baba, guru's made us all sants and sipahi's, so why allow a seperate sant baba sect enter us?

Contact Sikh Channel and have this guy removed or remove your direct debts. If his next show is aired after such exposing then I hope Sikh Channel loses 1000's of direct debts and the panth comes to it's senses.
We have spoken to Sikh Channel, they are going to stand by him! They were very rude ppl and in no way behave and talk how gursikhs should to one another, so we have cancelled our direct debts, but 5 dropped wont be enough, so everyone needs to wake up and cancel their debts.
Sikhsangat website if full of RSS agents now, there is nothing we can do about that, rss has gone in to deep jus have to be careful of the sanatan nihangs (nangs).
@Taksali - I agree VEERJEE, SIKHSANGAT Website is full of RSS Agents who are supporting Daljit Singh by making comments such as "This is Nirmalaya Maryada" - There is nothing BAD about this, which is definately diluting SIKH and KHALSA MARYADA.
