Hoshiarpur, Punjab (KP) – Baba Nihal Singh, Jathedar Missal Shaheedan Tarna Dal (Harianvela), has lashed out at Prof. Darshan Singh for using derogatory words against the bani of Guru Gobind Singh Ji contained in the Sri Dasam Granth Sahib and the vaars of Bhai Gurdas Singh Ji (II).  Baba Nihal Singh is amongst many of the Panthic leaders that have come out to take a stand against the ex-Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib.

Baba Nihal Singh has issued a warning on behalf of the entire Tarna Dal and other Sikh Jathebandis to Prof. Darshan Singh asking him to apologize to the Khalsa Panth for speaking against the Dasam Granth.  In a press statement releases by Baba Nihal Singh,  the Dal warned that if ragi Darshan Singh does not stop speaking against Dasam Granth and other scriptures of the Khalsa Panth, the Khalsa Panth would take appropriate action in accordance with Sikhs traditions and norms.

According to a mandate of Akal Takht Sahib, parcharaks are to refrain from speaking against the status of Dasam Bani.  Furthermore, as explained by the press note signed by Baba Nihal Singh, those who speak against the bani of Guru Gobind Singh Ji have been declared as mischievous by Akal Takht Sahib.

By speaking against the bani in Dasam Granth, Prof. Darshan Singh has openly defied the hukamnama and status of Akal Takht Sahib.  Baba Nihal Singh has asked Prof. Darshan Singh to offer his apologies to the Khalsa Panth following the example of Bhag Singh Ambala.  Baba Nihal Singh has also suggested that if Prof. Darshan Singh does not stop promoting lies, he should be excommunicated from the Khalsa Panth by Akal Takht Sahib.

Other Nihang Units, including those associated with 96 Croree Budha Dal, and the SurSingh-Bidhi Chandiay Dal also expressed concern about ragi Darshan Singh's statements, and demanded Panthic action against him.
